This is the Sanyo Xacti VPC-HD2000 + Epoque EHS-1000 housing.
This HD camera fitted into the Epoque housing is one of the smallest on the market. The camera is a hybrid still/video camera which produces good quality with both. The video records in MPEG-4 at a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The stills it takes are up to 8 megapixels. It uses an SD card to record both the stills and the video.
The camera includes a manual white balance mode which allows you to capture the colours as you see them, rather than the traditional blue/green which has plagued underwater photographers for decades. It takes a bit of practice to use, but is well worth the effort.
It's also possible to attach a wide angle lens using the 67mm thread fitted to the housing. This allows you to get much closer to your subjects while still fitting them within the frame. By doing this you'll get a much clearer and more colorful picture.
It's also possible to attach both underwater strobes and video lights to this housing. These will allow you to use this package in low light or even in complete darkness.
