The LED advantage
LED lamps are between 2.5 and 3 times more efficient than incandescent lamps, giving long battery life and cool running. LED electrical resistance increases as the voltage drops, giving a long reduced intensity period after the battery has gone flat. Lamp life is between 50 and 100 times greater than that of a filament bulb, and abrupt failure is rare.
