LED Advantages LED lamps operate at full brightness about 3 times longer than equivalent halogen lamps. The electrical resistance of a Light-Emitting Diode increases as the voltage drops, giving a long reduced intensity period after the battery has gone flat.  Lamp life is at least 50 times greater than that of a conventional bulb.

 Note: Use of Li-ion batteries is not recommended with halogen lamps (bulb may fail prematurely).
