Arm components and adapters for ikelite lights and housings |
ikelite supplies components for both 1" and 1.25" ball-joint arm systems. The ikelite ball features a PTFE (Teflon) impregnated hard anodisation coating, giving a damage-resistant variable-friction articulated joint with excellent holding-power.
ikelite 1" (25.4mm) ball-joint system is suitable for most lighting units (up to about 1.5Kg weight in air) and can be intermixed with components from Ultralight, TLC and metric (25mm) ball arm systems (e.g., Inon).
ikelite 1.25" (31.75mm) ball-joint system easily holds 3Kg weight in air.
Adapter ball-arm section 0466.51 allows coupling of 1" and 1.25" systems.
Materials: Balls and clamp faces are precision machined aluminium alloy with PTFE impregnated hard-anodisation. Arms are lightweight anodised aluminium tubular construction. High-strength plastics are used in some dimensionally non-critical sub-components (knobs, strobe lugs, light holders). Large bolts are stainless steel. Some smaller screws are Ni-plated brass.
