Flexible underwater housings for compact cameras

Ewa-marine housings are made from tough double-laminated PVC sheet, with welded seams. Lens ports are made from flat optical glass, and the housing is sealed by means of an anodised aluminium clamping rail, which is secured by means of handwheel nuts. Digital compact housings have a large clear panel at the rear to allow viewing of the LCD screen.

Some large-bodied compact cameras will only fit in a ewa-marine SLR housing.

These housings have a clear section at the back for the camera viewfinder. They are not designed for cameras with an LCD screen (but can be used with digital cameras with minor inconvenience) .
